Arma Polytech FAQ
Welcome to the world of DIY gun building. During this process, you may have a lot of questions and honestly that is okay. Without the correct answers from reliable sources --there could be serious implications.

At Arma PolyTech, we are not providing the content on our website to serve as legal advice or legal counsel.

What is an 80% lower receiver?
An 80% lower receiver is only 80% manufactured.
Part of the lower is un-fabricated until the fire control cavity is milled using an 80% jig.

What type of equipment do I need to complete my 80% lower receiver?
Please review the manual (located here). This will explain everything that is needed.

How long does it normally take to set up and use your equipment?
Set time can vary depending on your experience and skill level. Typically, it is about 30-40 minutes to set things up to proceed to machining your lower.

Does the ATF know about 80% receivers?
Yes they do. An 80% lower receiver is not a firearm until it has been milled. Purchasing and owning an 80% lower receiver does not require paperwork or regulations that govern the purchase... for now.

Are felons restricted from the ownership of firearms that have been built from Arma Polytech?
Felons are restricted from the ownership and receiving a firearm.
(https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/docs/0813-firearms-top-12-qaspdf/download), Arma Polytech has a strict policy not to sell to persons known to us to be convicted felons or prohibited possessors.

Is it legal to assemble a firearm from commercially available parts?
Legality can be confirmed at the ATF website (https://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/firearms-technology.html). At Arma Polytech we do not provide legal advice. Please keep in mind firearm laws vary from state-to-state. It is suggested you consult your local counsel for an opinion for your specific jurisdiction.

Where can I find more information about my state laws and 80% lowers?
The National Rifle Association is an excellent resource to familiarize your specific state laws regarding firearms.

Can you do customer work for products?
Arma Polytech does not offer any custom work at this time.
